For my inaugural product review, I figured I would choose something that has changed my life. And boy has this stuff changed my life. I stumbled upon Dermalogica Daily Microfoliant in a spa recently when I went for a massage, and I seemed to remember seeing favorable recommendations for it on Makeupalley.com. So I sprang for the $47.50 price tag, even though that seemed a bit much for a 2.6 oz bottle of facial exfoliator. That $47.50 is quite possibly my best spent money EVER. But let’s begin at the beginning.
I have combination skin. Some parts are slightly oily, other parts are dry. I also have rosacea, mostly confined to my cheeks. There’s an especially stubborn patch on my right cheek that stays fairly red and occasionally sprouts a bump or two. I also have huge pores, particularly on my nose. When I say huge, I mean really huge. Craters. You could drive a jeep into my pores and make your own candles from the excess sebum. So this exfoliator had its work cut out for it. The odds were stacked against it from the start.
Day one. I cracked open my spanking new bottle of exfoliator and shook some of the finely milled powder out onto my hand. The product box directs you to mix about a 1/2 teaspoon of powder with warm water to make a paste in the palm of your hand. I did so and applied to my face. It had a pleasant soapy smell reminiscent of Ivory, and felt nice and lathery on my skin. I rubbed in circles for the suggested minute and then rinsed with warm water. It rinsed off easily and completely in just a few seconds. Afterwards, my skin felt buttery soft and smooth. Like baby butt. I was certainly impressed, but it needed to stand the test of time!
Fast forward to now. I’ve been using this product every day for almost 2 months now, and I’m still just as impressed today as I was that first night. My skin has never looked better. Never. It’s smooth, soft, and visibly improved from its previous condition. I haven’t had any breakouts whatsoever and my rosacea is less noticeable. My pores are even looking positively small, which is an unprecedented miracle.
The bottom line: If you haven’t noticed me beating you over the head yet–YOU NEED THIS PRODUCT. Now. Today. Go forth and buy Dermalogica Daily Microfoliant! And no, I have not been paid or compensated in any way by Dermalogica to tell you this.

Stumble It!
I share your skin pain and I totally agree about this product! I also like the medicated clearing gel as it has boosted the brilliance of the Daily Microfoliant and made my skin radiant where it just used to be greasy and dull. I am so impressed with the stuff I use. I have found a really good site for getting dermalogica stuff pretty cheap.

Hi Everyone, I have also been using this product for about 2 months. i think its great. I have combination skin and acne. Its a great way to start the day. My skin has really cleaned up. So try it. I personally do not think it is expensive for what you actually get.
I recently tested this out myself and I really like it too!
Hey, cool tips. Perhaps I’ll buy a glass of beer to the person from that forum who told me to visit your site

WOW ! This stuff felt great going on. Smelled great – felt great! Just like a newborns butt.
then about 4 days later… OMG … I had RED BUMPS everywhere. I am 46 yrs. old. They looked like bug bites – kinda like pimples but not pus filled. if you ran your hand over my face it felt horrible.
it has been about 3 days. they are still there.
NO MORE of that dermalogica for me.
Very interesting post. Thank you for sharing with us.
